This page is designed for first grade teachers to use as a resource as they present a unit on Chick Hatching. This is a unit we do yearly in the Red Clay District and we incorporate the Internet as much as possible.

HATCHING AND BROODING CHICKS: this site provides information on obtaining fertilized eggs, proper incubations for maximum success, along with correct temperatures of the incubator.
MRS. BASTON'S KINDERGARTEN: First graders will enjoy reading what a kindergarten class writes about their experiences and seeing pictures of the baby chicks hatched in that classroom.
CHICK HATCHERY: shows actual pictures of the miracle of birth as the chick hatches from the egg. Wonderful , exact pictures with links to other sites of pictures of hatching chicks.
