Introduction
This unit was developed as part of the summer course requirements for Educational Studies #635, "Using the Internet for Curriculum Application".
Children are alway amused by pigs! This unit will focus on this subject! We have formulated many resources from the internet and books, to help with this 3-5 day unit.
Content Area and Grade Level
This unit can be adapted for use in K-2 classrooms and targets the areas of Science, Language Arts, Social Studies, Math and Technology.
Curriculum Standards
Our unit's main objective is for the students to be aware of the different characteristics of the pig and show how they contribute to our world. The culminating project will be a recreation of the story "The Three Little Pigs". Also, the children will be creating their own pig characters. The main focus of this project will address Delaware's State Standards for Language Arts, Social Studies, Science, Math and Technology.

Entry Level Skill and Knowledge
Students prior knowledge might add interest, however, it is not necessary. Some basic knowledge about the keyboard on the computer.
Classroom Management
Most of the activities will be done by the whole group approach. However, when the students work on the computers (2), they will work as a center activity. Whereas, there will be four students on the computers with an adult paraprofessional.
